Summary

This position involves physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers. Tasks include operating hand and power tools (air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment), cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, setting braces, erecting scaffolding, and waste cleanup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them appropriately
• Control traffic near work zones with proper training
• Signal equipment operators for machinery alignment and movement with training provided
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth using manual tools
• May need to enter trenches or confined spaces after proper training
• Understand and follow safety protocols as directed by supervisors
