Summary

This position involves physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers. Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools (air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment), site cleaning and preparation, trench digging, setting braces, erecting scaffolding, and waste cleanup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards
• Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, distributing them appropriately
• Control traffic near work zones with provided training
• Signal equipment operators for machinery alignment and movement with training
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth using appropriate tools
• Potentially enter trenches or confined spaces after proper training
• Follow safety protocols as directed by supervisors
