Starting Pay: $18 - $20 per hour, plus stipends for travel!

Do you have experience in construction? Do you want to learn the drilling and blasting industry with a stable, growing, majority employee-owned company? If you answered YES to these questions, then we want to meet you! Must be able to perform job-specific instructions provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor, or Drill Operators. Individuals must be safety-minded and able to work well outdoors in varying weather environments. Out-of-town/state travel within the New England region (CT, MA, NH, etc.) and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Maintain physical agility
• Submit accurate and signed weekly time cards to the Blaster/Foreman
• Quickly learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives
• Follow directions and perform construction labor activities
• Work independently when needed
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump
• Load and unload explosives from trucks
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
• Keep the job site clean and organized
• Attend all meetings
• Participate in monthly Foreman meetings, safety sessions, and job meetings as needed
• Participate in daily safety briefings

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform essential functions, including working at a steady pace on uneven surfaces outside. Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally (5% of the time), 50 lbs regularly (50% of the time), and to stoop and bend frequently (60-70%).

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and own transportation (out-of-town/state travel required)
• Successfully pass ATF screenings
• Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment
• Ability to learn and develop skills for higher-level tasks in the future
