Your New Job

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Laborer to join our team.

1. Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
2. Help equipment operator and other skilled labor when necessary.
3. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
4. Load or unload construction materials.
5. Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding.
6. Remove, fill, or compact earth, restore and repair all disturbed property.
7. Follow instructions from supervisors.
8. Assist craft workers.
9. Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
10. Perform site clean-up.
11. Travels to and from job sites.
12. Loads and unloads materials on truck.
13. Performs all phases of general and underground construction include but are not limited to loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
14. Restores and repairs all disturbed property.
15. Operates and/or works around heavy equipment and machinery.
16. Always maintains safe working habits/conditions.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Class A driver's license.
3. Experience in telecommunications or underground utilities industry is a plus.
4. Working knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanical equipment.
5. Ability to travel to wherever the job is needed.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

1. Must be able and willing to conduct strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours, work outdoors and in inclement weather conditions.
2. Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 40 to 90 pounds.
3. Must be able to maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
4. Must be able to operate or workaround heavy equipment and machinery.
5. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl while performing work.
6. Must be able to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and any applicable safety gear.
