Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Apprentice II to learn the trade while assisting with preparation, handling, and supplying of materials for other crafts.

The role involves loading/unloading, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, moving concrete and grout, and performing general site cleanup. The position requires teamwork, basic tool proficiency, and lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Apprentice Aptitude Program
• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment (power/non-powered)
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude; professional customer service; effective communication
• Repetitive movements; lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance as needed

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging
• Level ground for scaffolding
• Tend motor and grout
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout
• General cleanup and debris removal
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete
• Vibrate concrete
• Build positive relationships across roles and levels
• All other duties as assigned
