Power & Construction Group, Inc. has an opening for a Laborer & Concrete Mason with the Civil Division!

Salary Range: $24-$28/hr.

Location: Rochester, NY

Job Summary:
This position involves a blend of general construction labor tasks and specialized support for masonry projects. The ideal candidate will be a versatile and hardworking individual capable of contributing to various aspects of construction, with a particular emphasis on concrete work, and other masonry-related activities.

Specific duties of the Laborer & Mason will include, but not be limited to:

• Material handling, such as transporting lumber, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Site preparation, including clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up scaffolding.
• Operating and maintaining hand and power tools.
• Install rebar, assist with formwork, concrete pouring, and other general construction tasks.
• Demolition and cleanup of construction sites.
• Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in concrete placement, concrete formwork and CMU installation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves frequent exposure to challenging environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises.
• Significant physical activity is required, including heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling.
• Comfort working at heights is essential.
