Ability to operate equipment, conduct required quality checks and interpreting production work orders

Essential Functions:

1. Operate production machines and equipment following accepted practices
2. Must be able to operate material handling equipment, such as overhead hoists
3. Make machine set-ups as required
4. Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required
5. Use of basic power tools such as an impact drill and wrench
6. Must be able to use a Bill of Materials to build units using proper materials and parts
7. Accurately report daily activities on work orders and basic data entry
8. Must understand how to interpret and use production work orders
9. Conduct required quality checks using a tape measurer (basic measurement equipment)
10. Comply with the Quality Management System, 1st piece Inspection
11. Other duties as assigned
12. Maintain regular attendance

Education and Training

1. High school diploma or GED required

Minimum Qualifications

1. Experience in a manufacturing warehouse, preferably in automotive
2. Construction experience preferred. Mason work, framing or concrete work
3. Basic mechanic experience preferred.
4. Must be able to meet production standards and follow directions
5. Able to read and understand blueprints with geometric tolerancing preferred
6. Must be able to speak, read and write legibly in English

Physical Demands

1. Must be able to physically lift 40 lbs unassisted
2. Able to repetitively assemble products
3. Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time

Environmental Conditions

1. Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant
2. Fast paced work environment
3. Ability to work in a team environment
4. Ability to work independently
5. Must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external parties
