Ameren Missouri is hiring for a general labor and cleaning role at a generating station, performing diverse tasks across operating areas and shops. The position requires adherence to safety practices and the ability to work rotating or day shifts as needed.

Occasionally, as specifically directed, with Storekeeper to the extent of obtaining materials and supplies. Generally with other employees from all work groups.
Exposed to outdoor weather conditions; to sudden temperature changes from inside to outside; to fly ash, coal dust and dirt; to noise and vibration especially when operating jack hammer or other pneumatic power tools; to lime and sodium phosphate dust when unloading from freight cars and trucks; to cramped and slippery conditions when cleaning sump pits and settling basins, to heavy lifting.
Subject to risk of injury, especially to hands or feet, when unloading heavy materials; to eye injury when breaking concrete or from dust of water treating chemicals or other foreign matter; to injury from falling from scaffolds or other structures; to hand or foot injury from use of sledges and other tools; to body strain on heavy lifts. Subject to working around or with hazardous chemicals and materials. Subject to working around high pressure mediums, such as steam, water, air and oil. Subject to working around rotating equipment, including high noise environments.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate vehicles in a safe manner. Must be able to climb ramps, ladders, and stairs, have no fear of height, and have no trouble working in close places. Candidates who cannot perform some or all of these duties because of disabilities will nevertheless receive full consideration for the job based on their ability to perform the essential functions.
Report to supervisor on completion of assigned task or job. Report to supervisor at beginning of shift. May be required to drive and operate heavy equipment, including bobcat and high lift.
Hourly Pay: Grade Step OA 087 Step 1 of 1 (Top Step) - 24.87 USD Position is eligible for annual incentive payments based on company performance and subject to sole management discretion.
