Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking an entry-level Laborer to support the crew with daily tasks and learn essential construction skills. The role offers highly competitive weekly pay starting at $20 per hour, plus industry-leading benefits and overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks, operating and maintaining various tools, lifting materials, and helping with underground pipe work. Applicants should be ready to work on their feet all day and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on their feet all day.
• Willing to complete OSHA 10 training (Garney provided).
• Willing to complete Fall Protection Certification (Garney provided).
• Must be willing to travel for work and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew with daily tasks using a variety of techniques and equipment.
• Maintain and operate pneumatic and electrical tools (concrete vibrators, compactors, saws, jackhammers).
• Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools and supplies.
• Join, wrap, seal, and bed sections of underground pipe and penetrations.

GARNEY

A Laborer position is available at Garney. This is an entry-level position for a dependable person who wants to assist in daily tasks and learn the essential skills to start a career in the construction industry. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This position is focused on assisting the crew with the completion of daily tasks with the use of a variety of techniques and equipment.

Examples of daily tasks:

• Maintaining and operating pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers
• Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies
• Joining, wrapping, sealing, and bedding sections of underground pipe and pipe penetrations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for hard-working individuals who enjoy being active and working on their feet throughout the day. The ideal candidate must also be able to use essential tools such as tape measurers, hammers, tool belts, and lineman pliers to perform their assigned tasks accurately.

Requirements:

• Must be able to work on their feet for an entire day
• Must be willing to complete OSHA 10 (provided by Garney)
• Must be willing to complete "Fall Protection Certification" (provided by Garney)
• Must be willing to work overtime
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Must be willing to travel for work
