Job summary

Garney is hiring an entry-level Laborer to assist the crew with daily tasks and learn essential construction skills. The role offers weekly pay starting at $20 per hour, with industry-leading benefits and opportunities for overtime.

You will operate a range of tools, assist in installing and joining pipe sections, and support the crew on site in Nashville, TN. This is a great entry point into a construction career with training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on feet for an entire day.
• Willing to complete OSHA 10 (Garney provided).
• Willing to complete Fall Protection Certification (Garney provided).
• Willing to work overtime.
• Must have access to reliable transportation and be willing to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew with daily tasks using a variety of techniques and equipment.
• Operate pneumatic and electrical tools (concrete vibrators, saws, jackhammers, trenchers).

A Laborer position is available at Garney. This is an entry-level position for a dependable person who wants to assist in daily tasks and learn the essential skills to start a career in the construction industry. What You Will Be Doing

This position is focused on assisting the crew with the completion of daily tasks with the use of a variety of techniques and equipment.

• Maintaining and operating pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers
• Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies
• Joining, wrapping, sealing, and bedding sections of underground pipe and pipe penetrations

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for hard-working individuals who enjoy being active and working on their feet throughout the day. The ideal candidate must also be able to use essential tools such as tape measurers, hammers, tool belts, and lineman pliers to perform their assigned tasks accurately.
