Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Laborer in Rockledge, FL. The role supports gas service activities, meter inspections, and routine maintenance while following company procedures and safety guidelines.

This position involves reading meters, deactivating gas services, installing ERT devices, and performing related field tasks. A valid driver’s license is required, with overtime possible and opportunities for career growth within a cooperative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• Valid Driver's License (NON CDL).

Responsabilités

• Works assigned route to complete customer and compliance orders in accordance with company policies and procedures and operator qualifications procedures.
• Deactivates gas service.
• Conducts regular meter inspections and maintenance of above and below ground gas systems.
• Completes assigned tasks using pipeline locating equipment and appropriate hand tools.
• Installs Encoder Receiver Transmitters (ERT) and performs collection duties as assigned.
• Identifies abnormal operating conditions, takes appropriate actions, and performs miscellaneous inspections as required.
• Captures work order documentation on the company-provided technology accurately.
• Required to work overtime as needed.
• Reads Meters.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
