Job summary

Alpha Insulation & Waterproofing, part of the Installed Building Products family, is hiring laborers to support insulation, waterproofing, and restoration projects in Tempe. You will load materials, prep work areas, and operate basic tools while following safety procedures.

Ideal candidates are willing to learn, able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and collaborate with the team to ensure efficiency and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or labor experience is common but not required
• Willingness to learn and grow within the trade
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, crouch, and stand for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of insulation, waterproofing materials, firestop systems, expansion joints, and restoration products
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Prepare and clean work areas before and after jobs
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Support skilled trades workers with measurements, mixing materials, and applying coatings
• Perform demolition and debris removal when required
• Assist with scaffolding setup, lifts, and access equipment under supervision
• Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
• Follow directions from supervisors and work cooperatively with team members
• Potential to grow into more skilled tasks over time

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus (can be provided)

Physical Demands

This role requires consistent physical activity, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout the workday. Laborers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and perform tasks that involve repetitive motion and working in confined spaces or at heights. The position often involves exposure to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and dust. Candidates should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to safety and detail.
