Job summary

Sims Metal (Sims) is hiring for a general labor role at our Redwood City facility. You will move, sort, stack, and feed material to conveyor lines, maintain housekeeping, and may operate a forklift or sweeper as needed.

This role is union-positioned with Teamsters Local 853 and requires reliability and basic English communication. Hours are 7:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with overtime including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Must wear required PPE (uniforms, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hard hat).

• Perform and maintain general housekeeping.

Hours: 7p to 330 Monday - Friday with overtime as required including weekends and holidays

Job Summary:

Moving, sorting, stacking, palletizing, or feeding material onto the conveyor belt (where applicable). Perform and maintain general housekeeping. May operate forklift, sweeper, or other equipment. Other duties as assigned.
