Job summary

Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated Laborer to assist in clearing derailments and environmental projects. You will lift and move derailed rail cars, operate tools, and support field operations across rail sites and industrial locations.

The role requires a High School diploma (or equivalent), CDL eligibility, and the ability to work 24/7 in emergency conditions. Prior outdoor labor experience is preferred, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to qualify for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in construction, landscaping, farming, or outdoor work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground support for operations.
• Heavy lifting and handling of chains, blocks, and cables.
• Climb under and inspect derailed railroad cars and equipment.
• Set up and maintain equipment; use welding and cutting tools as needed.
• Operate cutting torch and power tools; follow safety protocols.
• Lifting up to 150 lbs; frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Work at elevated heights on railroad cars, bridges, or in water.
• Maintain equipment service records and ensure proper tool usage.

Hulcher Services is seeking a motivated and success-driven Laborer. You will play a vital role in assisting in clearing railroad derailments by lifting and moving derailed rail cars and locomotives, and performs similar duties on environmental remediation sites, industrial locations, and rail construction.

What You'll Do:

• Provides ground support for operations.


• Carries, handles and detaches/attaches heavy steel chains, blocks and steel cables, and other devices.


• Climbs on and crawls under derailed railroad cars and other equipment.


• Cleans, maintains and sets-up equipment requiring use of small and large tools.


• Operates cutting torch, hand and power tools, and welding equipment.


• Lifts 150 lbs. max with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.


• Works at elevated heights on railroad cars; bridges, over water, or in water.


• Maintains required equipment service records.


• Assures safekeeping and proper usage of company tools.

What You Bring:

• Ability to work on call 24/7 365 days a year in an emergency response environment


• High School graduate or equivalent
