Job Title: Construction Laborer Job Description

This role involves working as a construction laborer in Arkansas, supporting a variety of tasks on active job sites, including general labor, basic carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, concrete work, and assisting with electrical tasks under appropriate supervision. You will contribute to building, maintaining, and improving structures while safely operating hand and power tools and following established construction practices.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general construction labor tasks such as site preparation, material handling, cleanup, and debris removal to keep the job site safe and organized.

  • Assist with framing work, including measuring, cutting, and assembling structural components according to specifications and directions.

  • Support carpentry and finish carpentry tasks, such as installing trim, fixtures, and other finish elements, ensuring accurate measurements and clean workmanship.

  • Help with concrete-related work, including preparing forms, mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete as directed by supervisors or skilled tradespeople.

  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.

  • Assist with basic electrical tasks under appropriate supervision, such as handling materials, routing cables, and supporting licensed personnel as needed.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled trades professionals to complete assigned tasks on schedule and to quality standards.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by storing tools properly, removing hazards, and adhering to site safety rules.

  • Support team members in various construction activities, adapting to changing priorities and tasks as project needs evolve.

  • Comply with all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment, and immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
