Aerotek in Nashville, TN is hiring a Clean Up Crew Worker to maintain a clean, safe, and organized new construction site. You will perform a variety of general labor and janitorial tasks to support the construction team and keep walkways clear.
The role requires being on your feet for long periods, adhering to safety practices, and working a full 40-hour week with potential overtime as the project progresses. This is a contract position on a large mixed-use tower project.
This role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized new construction job site within a large mixed-use residential and retail tower project. You will perform a variety of general labor and janitorial tasks, supporting the construction team by keeping work areas free of debris, materials properly staged, and walkways clear throughout the day.
Perform daily cleaning duties on a new construction job site to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Pick up water bottles, packaging, and various trash items from floors, work areas, and common spaces.
Sweep and mop floors, including stairwells, corridors, and other high-traffic areas, to reduce dust and debris.
Dust mop large floor areas to control construction dust and maintain clear walking paths.
Collect trash from designated areas and transport it to appropriate drop-off locations or dumpsters.
Move materials and supplies as directed to keep work zones organized and free of obstructions.
Support general construction clean up, including removing scrap materials, cardboard, and other job site waste.
Follow established safety practices and basic OSHA guidelines while performing all tasks.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain awareness of active construction activities.
Remain on your feet and moving throughout the shift to respond quickly to cleaning and clean up needs.
Arrive on time, work consistently throughout the scheduled shift, and complete assigned tasks each day.
Commit to staying on the project through its duration, contributing to a stable and reliable clean up team.
Experience working in a construction environment, preferably on large commercial job sites.
Background in basic laborer roles that require being on your feet and moving throughout the day.
Hands-on cleaning experience, including sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, and general janitorial duties.
Construction clean up experience, including trash removal, trash pickup, and debris handling.
Ability to perform manual labor safely and efficiently in an active construction setting.
Familiarity with safety practices and basic OSHA regulations relevant to construction sites.
Reliability and consistency in attendance, with a strong commitment to completing the project.
Comfort working a full 40-hour week and openness to overtime when needed.
Prior experience on large commercial or mixed-use construction projects.
Janitorial or custodial Background in industrial, commercial, or construction environments.
Ability to move and organize construction materials under direction from site supervisors.
Strong attention to detail in maintaining clean and safe work areas.
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a broader construction team.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., currently operating at 8 hours per day with a typical 40‑hour workweek. Overtime may be introduced later in the project, and the ideal candidate is comfortable working a standard 40‑hour week while remaining open to additional hours when needed. You will work indoors and outdoors in a high‑rise construction setting, frequently on your feet, moving between floors, and navigating active work zones. The environment is fast‑paced, with ongoing construction activities and equipment in use, and requires adherence to safety practices and basic OSHA guidelines. Appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment (such as hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and work boots) are required to ensure safety on site.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
