General Summary

The Laborer is responsible for safely supporting concrete crews by preparing and maintaining construction projects at demolition, building, highway, and heavy construction sites.
This position offers an On the Job Training Program (OJT).

Note: This position is not located in The Woodlands.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight lines
• Bolt, nail, align, and block forms
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery
• Level earth to fine grade specifications using appropriate tools
• Mix concrete using portable mixers
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete with float, trowel, or screed
• Join, seal pipe sections, and position pipes
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces
• Perform tasks requiring dexterity, such as sawing lumber, dismantling forms, and removing projects from concrete

Work Experience

• Construction experience required; heavy construction experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience required

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and see clearly (naturally or with correction)
