Job summary

Garney Construction is seeking an entry-level Laborer in Greenville, SC. The role focuses on assisting the crew with daily tasks and learning essential construction skills. Starting pay is $20 per hour with overtime opportunities, plus industry-leading benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the crew with daily tasks using a variety of techniques and equipment.
• Maintain and operate pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers.
• Lift, carry, and hold building materials, tools, and supplies.
• Join, wrap, seal, and bedding sections of underground pipe and pipe penetrations.

Examples of daily tasks:

• Maintaining and operating pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers
• Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials, tools, and supplies
• Joining, wrapping, sealing, and bedding sections of underground pipe and pipe penetrations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for hard-working individuals who enjoy being active and working on their feet throughout the day. The ideal candidate must also be able to use essential tools such as tape measurers, hammers, tool belts, and lineman pliers to perform their assigned tasks accurately.
