Job summary

Amrize is seeking Laborers for our paving crews in Colorado. You will perform maintenance, operate equipment, and support grounds and housekeeping to keep job sites, plants, and equipment in top condition.

This role requires endurance, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work overtime, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed. Safety is paramount, and you’ll follow all PPE rules and site procedures while contributing to a culture of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior work around heavy equipment or asphalt preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain paving housekeeping and ensure equipment runs properly.
• Assist foremen with tasks and follow instructions.
• Shovel out bins, maintain stock piles, and assist customers.
• Safely operate equipment and perform general labor duties.
• Follow safety protocols and health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Work overtime, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, drivers, crew, and customers.
• Maintain good housekeeping around the plant site.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize is hiring Laborers for our Paving crews. In this role, you will Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain job and plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment managed by regional business entities

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Ensure paving housekeeping is maintained and that equipment is running properly.

• Safely operate equipment and perform mechanic and general labor duties.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the plant site.
• Ability to work overtime as needed andMondaythroughFriday including Saturdays as the business requires.
• Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, peers, operators, and customers serviced.
• Use safe practices in all activities.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Required Education: High School Diploma /GED
• Additional Requirements:
• Prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction or asphalt.
• Basic mechanical and construction knowledge and skills
• Proven safety record
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
