Job summary

Amrize in Coleman, OK is seeking a dedicated general laborer to maintain plant sites, operate equipment, and keep buildings and grounds in optimal condition.

You will perform routine maintenance, clean facilities, and support safety protocols while collaborating with a team on site. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required, with at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 1 year general laborer experience required.
• Must be able to work outdoors and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicle on site.
• Must follow safety policies, PPE use and respirator fit tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping to maintain plant sites.
• Clean sites and operate pumps, compressors and generators; assist with on-site traffic control.
• Monitor for spills or equipment failure and report to management as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, identify repairs and report needs.
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents; support a culture of safety.

About The Role

Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment managed by regional business entities. This position is located in Coleman, OK.

What You'll Accomplish

• Cleans and prepares sites and plants. May remove trees and debris, tends pumps, compressors and generators
• Cleans under and around operating plant using shovels, brooms and other manual devices. Participates in mechanical maintenance activities that may require the use of hand tools and equipment. May assist with traffic control on site when required.
• Monitors plant for material spills and mechanical failure and report to site management when identified. May drive a vehicle company property/job site. Operate power tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment as required, determine when equipment is in need of repair and inform appropriate authorities.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Promptly reports any unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor.

What We're Looking For

Education: High School diploma/GED. Please note that equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Required Work Experience: 1 year general laborer experience

• Ability to work outdoors. Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, a good sense of balance, and an ability to work as a member of a team. Valid driver’s license.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
