Amrize is hiring a Laborer for its Theodore, AL facility. The role involves cleaning, inspections, operating small to mid-size equipment, and filling in various plant areas to keep operations safe and efficient.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; follow all safety PPE requirements and pass fit tests where respirators are used.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Amrize has immediate openings for a Laborer position at its manufacturing facility located in Theodore, AL. The Laborer is a multi‑skilled role responsible for cleaning the Theodore, AL Cement Plant.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Clean up and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Perform inspections and checklists on work areas.
• Operate various small to mid‑size mobile equipment (skid steer, sweeper, water truck, vac‑truck, etc.).
• Fill in vacancies within different areas of the plant.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: High School Diploma/GED

Additional Education: None

Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills

Additional Requirements

• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High degree of safety awareness.
• A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process is preferred.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and use Amrize‑approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators. Employees required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face to pass fit tests.
