About the Role
Perform maintenance, equipment operation, grounds and housekeeping tasks necessary to maintain plant sites, buildings, grounds and equipment managed by regional business entities.
What You'll Accomplish
- Clean and prepare sites and plants; may remove trees and debris, tend pumps, compressors and generators.
- Clean under and around operating plant using shovels, brooms and other manual devices; participate in mechanical maintenance activities that may require hand tools and equipment; may assist with traffic control on site when required.
- Monitor plant for material spills and mechanical failure, report to site management when identified; may drive a company vehicle on the job site.
- Operate power tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, determine when equipment is in need of repair and inform appropriate authorities.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Demonstrate commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies; promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
- Promptly report any unsafe conditions, accidents or incidents to the supervisor.
What We're Looking For
- Education: High School diploma/GED. Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Required Work Experience: 1 year general laborer experience.
- Ability to work outdoors; manual dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, good physical fitness, good sense of balance, and ability to work as a team member.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Adherence to all safety protocols and proper use of company approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including respirators where required.
