Master Boat Builders has an immediate need for a general Laborer. This role is an entry level opportunity to get exposure into working in our shipyard. We're looking for individuals who are eager to be a part of a growing company! Master Boat Builders offers a full benefit package that is designed to support our employees for the long run which includes; medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage and a 401(k) with a company match.

Schedule is Monday – Thursday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; Friday 6:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Reliable transportation is a must.

The General Laborer role provides as needed assistance to the crew of a vessel.

This Includes But Is Not Limited To

• Manually lifting and carrying loads to and from boats and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling and stretching.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy working environment ensuring discarded packaging and other debris are cleared away.
• Transport products, supplies and mechanical equipment to various areas of the yard including the warehouse and tool rooms.
• Cleaning out tanks on boats.
• Manually handling of steel.
• Loading and unloading of various materials.
• Providing assistance to the hull foreman as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Prior ship yard or similar experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a industrial setting.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with a team.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items when necessary
• Health and safety awareness.
• Verbal communication skills.
  
  

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and work at heights as required in a shipbuilding environment.
• Physical agility and dexterity to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, squatting and reaching.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
