Job Summary

This is an entry-level unskilled position involving a variety of routine heavy and light manual labor tasks. The employee reports directly to and works under the general supervision of a foreman or other higher-level employee. The job requires physical endurance and may involve working outdoors in all kinds of weather, overtime, and being on twenty-four (24) hour call for emergencies. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of this role. You may be assigned to any division within the department on any given day. Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older. There are no specific training or experience qualifications.

Special Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Class D Drivers License.

Total Compensation

$22.34 Hourly Wage upon hire, increasing to $23.26 per hour after a successful six-month probation period.

Benefits include health insurance options, paid holidays, a deferred compensation plan, and participation in the New York State Local Employees Retirement System.
