Base pay range

$18.50/hr - $22.00/hr

We are currently accepting applications for Laborers for wastewater construction projects. Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of experience working on construction projects, own transportation, be highly motivated, and willing to travel. Drug screen, physical, and criminal background check are required of successful candidates.

Skilled Laborers work under the supervision of skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, millwrights, and pipefitters. They have skills beyond a general laborer but are not yet skilled tradespeople. They typically perform duties listed below in an assisting role, but sometimes independently.

• Rigging and handling of heavy loads
• Installation of interior Ductile Iron Pipe and supports
• Installation of interior PVC pipe and supports
• Fitting of copper and steel pipe
• Pipe Testing
• Construction of concrete formwork
• Placement of reinforcing steel
• Placing & finishing concrete
• Stripping of concrete formwork
• Rough carpentry such as building temporary wooden structures
• Finish carpentry such as the installation of casework
• Use of basic operated equipment like small backhoes, forklifts, and aerial lifts
• Site and trench excavation & backfill
• Laying of yard pipe
• Surveying
• Demolition
• Unloading and storing materials
