Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor/Coordinator to support Alliance Lab quality and daily operations. You will lead training and staffing, ensure quality metrics, and coordinate proficiency testing across lab locations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in lab science, CLIA high-complexity education, and 4 years’ lab experience with at least 1 year in a lead position. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical lab science.
• Must meet CLIA education requirements for high complexity testing.
• 4 years of laboratory experience with human samples.
• At least 1 year in a lead/senior tech/coordinator/supervisor role.
• Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership of lab projects and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Alliance Lab quality improvement/quality assurance program.
• Recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluations for the team.
• Coordinate proficiency testing as required by accrediting agencies.
• Contribute to policy and procedure development and revisions.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain instrumentation and inventories; advise on new equipment.
