Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Technologist, or an equivalent certification with certified maintenance of continuing education.
• 4 years of laboratory experience performing testing on human samples.
• At least 1 year of lead/senior role in a clinical lab with total of 3 years in high complexity testing may be acceptable.
• Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations.
• Demonstrated direct or indirect leadership of lab projects.
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral).
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Alliance Lab quality improvement/quality assurance program and monitor quality indicators.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluations for the team.
• Coordinate proficiency testing as required by lab accrediting agencies.
• Participate in policy and procedure development, implementation, and revisions.
• Support compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Manage maintenance of instrumentation and inventories; advise on new equipment and supplies.
