DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), part of Eurofins, is the world leader in DNA relationship testing, processing over one million DNA samples globally. Our services include Paternity, Immigration, Early Gender DNA Testing, Fertility testing, and Pet DNA testing. Our headquarters and laboratory are based in Fairfield, OH, in the Cincinnati area. Opportunity Overview

Laboratory Technologists are essential in executing laboratory procedures with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with protocols and maintaining quality in a fast-paced environment. They process samples in the paternity lab, adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines, and contribute to the integrity of DNA analysis.

• Assess specimen acceptability based on established criteria
• Perform routine and complex procedures according to SOPs
• Process biological samples, including DNA extraction, quantification, amplification, and analysis
• Operate laboratory instruments and equipment
• Make technical decisions and troubleshoot testing issues
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow
• Ensure compliance with quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science required
• Prior laboratory experience preferred
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as DNA extraction and PCR
• Ability to interpret procedures and follow complex instructions
• Efficiency in high-volume lab settings
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in sample processing
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and LIMS systems is a plus
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Flexibility to work overtime or shifts as needed

Physical Requirements

• Perform precise, repetitive tasks with hands
• Excellent vision to read instruments and identify samples
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift up to 15 pounds as needed
• Bend, reach, and twist frequently
• Work in environments with potential chemical and biological exposure, following safety protocols
• Wear PPE as required
