KA Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technologist for a hands-on role in a remote or mobile laboratory setting outside Oakland, CA. You will perform point-of-care testing across multiple modalities and collect venous and capillary samples.

The position requires strong attention to detail, ability to monitor QC, and troubleshooting of equipment and LIS issues in a remote environment. It offers independence in a mobile workflow with potential van operations.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience with point-of-care testing preferred.
• Comfortable performing venipuncture and capillary collections.
• Strong attention to detail and specimen integrity.
• Able to monitor QC and recognize abnormal or questionable results.
• Comfortable troubleshooting equipment, computer, and client issues.
• Able to work independently in a remote/mobile setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform point-of-care testing in a remote/mobile setting.
• Work across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular & Coagulation as needed.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
• Monitor quality control and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed.

Position Highlights

• Perform point-of-care testing in a remote/mobile setting
• Work across Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular & Coagulation
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection
• Monitor quality control and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed
• Enter patient information, test orders, and results into the laboratory information system
• Maintain laboratory supplies, QC records, and required documentation
• Opportunity to operate a mobile laboratory delivery van when needed
