Job Description
Salary: $20-23/hr (plus night differential, available for 3rd shift)
Sustainable Talent is partnering with a global leader in clinical diagnostics, environmental, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics testing, and agro-sciences CRO services to expand their team. This position is based in Cincinnati, OH, and is a direct hire opportunity.
Laboratory Technologist Responsibilities
- Follow prescribed procedures, perform tests across laboratory specialties, and calculate test results as needed.
- Operate, calibrate, conduct performance checks, and maintain laboratory analyzers or equipment.
- Recognize and correct basic analyzer malfunctions, notifying management when appropriate.
- Prepare reagents or media according to prescribed procedures.
- Evaluate media, reagents, and calibrators based on established criteria.
- Conduct quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products.
- Evaluate quality control results and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Determine performance specifications for new methods.
- Verify results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzers.
- Monitor quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure safety programs comply with laboratory regulations.
- Use laboratory information systems to report patient results accurately.
- Write laboratory procedures following standardized formats.
- Report test results according to established procedures.

- Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technology.
- Understanding of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology related to medical technology.
- Awareness of recent developments in medical technology.
- Ability to instruct subordinate technologists in laboratory testing.
- Capability to perform tasks accurately and make precise observations and records.
- Skill in using medical laboratory equipment.
- Strong analytical, communication, computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new techniques, multitask, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and adhere to company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship.
