Job summary

Kurita America seeks a Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing on water and samples in support of customers and the field sales force. The role involves logging and preparing samples, calibrating instruments, and compiling data accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The position is based in Brooklyn Park, MN with pay in the $20–$22/hour range. A Chemistry degree is preferred, and 0–3 years of lab experience is expected, along with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry preferred but other scientific fields considered.
• 0-3 years’ experience in a laboratory environment.
• Hard worker with ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and laboratory SOPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Log and prepare samples for analysis.
• Conduct routine testing (pH, conductivity, hardness, and other ions) on water and samples.
• Calibrate equipment, load and monitor instruments, record data and interpret results.
• Perform and report corrosion coupon analysis.
• General lab duties: clean glassware, prep and ship samples, organize and label reagents.
• Compile data accurately and perform simple calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
