Job summary

U.S. Sugar seeks a laboratory analyst to operate and calibrate instrumentation, prepare samples, and perform quality control analyses on sugar products. The role includes data entry, reporting, and ensuring adherence to GMP and safety guidelines within a high-tech facility.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school in a related scientific discipline or high school diploma with laboratory experience qualifications are met.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Food Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate laboratory instrumentation.
• Prepare and analyze quality control production samples such as sugar, syrup, liquor, massecuite and magma samples for polarization, brix, purity, ash, and pH.
• Prepare and analyze environmental effluent samples.
• Monitor process operations and maintain records and data entry in the plant information system.
