Job summary

TotalEnergies recrute un technicien de laboratoire pour analyser des échantillons et enregistrer les résultats dans le système LIMS, en veillant au respect des procédures de qualité et de sécurité.

Le poste exige au moins 3 ans d'expérience et une formation en chimie, avec une capacité à travailler selon des plannings variables, y compris les weekends, dans un environnement conforme et axé sur la sécurité.

Qualifications

  • Diplôme de fin d'études secondaires ou équivalent GED.
  • Sixteen heures de cours de chimie avec une note minimale C et douze heures de mathématiques avec une note minimale C; au plus six heures de biologie/physique substituables.
  • Trois à cinq années d'expérience en laboratoire peuvent remplacer les exigences universitaires.
  • Expérience avec LIMS et Microsoft Office souhaitée.
  • Autorisation légale à travailler indéfiniment aux États-Unis.
  • Soumission à un dépistage aléatoire et pré-emploi négatif.

Responsibilities

  • Analyser des échantillons et rapporter les résultats avec précision et dans les délais pour assurer la qualité de la production.
  • Effectuer des calibrations quotidiennes pour garantir le bon fonctionnement des instruments.
  • Conseiller le technicien LC sur les questions de qualité afin de minimiser les produits non conformes.
  • Communiquer avec les opérations, LPS et le personnel lors des activités en laboratoire et préparer les HB pour les tests.
  • Lire les check-lists pour déterminer les besoins en tests et naviguer dans le système de laboratoire.
  • Comprendre les tests de procédés et affecter les résultats de tests à la production appropriée.
  • Soutenir les échantillonnages et les tests environnementaux les week-ends et jours fériés.

Education

High school graduate or GED equivalency
Sixteen college hours of Chemistry, with a minimum grade of C, and 12 hours of math with a minimum grade of C
Three to five years’ lab experience may be substituted for the college requirements

Responsibilities
  • Analyze samples and report results in an accurate and timely manner to maximize quality production. Check that all test results are entered into the LIMS system in a timely fashion.
  • Perform daily calibrations to ensure that instruments are functioning properly. Report any instrument problems to the LC job area Technician or Day Technician.
  • Counsel LC job area Technician about any quality issues to minimize production of non-conforming product.
  • When working the LC job area, perform communication duties with Operations, LPS, and staffing. Work within the Lab system to keep functionality moving. Compile HB’s for testing.
  • Read checklist to determine testing needs/requirements. Complete ability to navigate through Lab system.
  • Understanding of process testing, allocate tests results to appropriate production.
  • Support Environmental sampling/testing on weekends and holidays.

Loss control responsibilities include: Understanding, supporting and compliance with all plant policies, procedures and applicable regulations; conducting applicable Loss Control Challenge activities, including inspections and audits as assigned; completion of assigned Loss Control action items; and completion of regulatory and other required training.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency.
  • Sixteen college hours of Chemistry, with a minimum grade of C, and 12 hours of math with a minimum grade of C. A maximum of six semester hours of biology or physics may be substituted for six hours of the chemistry requirement.
  • Three to five years’ lab experience may be substituted for the college requirements.
  • Experience with LIMS and Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Legally authorized to work indefinitely in the United States.
  • Submit to random drug screening/pre-employment negative screening.
