Job summary

Huntsman Cancer Institute is seeking Laboratory Technicians to perform tests and analyses, prepare samples, and follow SOPs/GLPs under supervision from a manager, physician, nurse, or scientist. The role supports calibration of instruments and ensures clean, properly functioning lab spaces.

Qualifications

• Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
• Laboratory Technician III requires 3+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses. Prepare and weigh samples for testing and analysis. Conduct tests, assays, and other protocols under the direction of a laboratory services manager, physician, nurse, or scientist. Follow SOPs and GLPs. Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order. May be responsible for calibration of instruments. Senior-level support role.
• Senior-level support role. Completes assignments with little supervision. May assist less-experienced team members.
