Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Laboratory Technician to join our Tulsa team. Learn under experienced professionals to safely perform tests in concrete and soils laboratories with paid training and certification support.

No prior experience is required as you gain hands-on skills; we offer opportunities for growth and development as you earn your certifications and advance in the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0 years of related experience; no prior experience needed (on-the-job training provided).
• Lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed per ECS Technician Certification Policy (both soils and concrete labs if applicable).
• Strong communication and basic math skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Ability to follow directions and work under close supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word and Excel).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic laboratory tests on construction material samples under supervision.
• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compiles test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative duties.
• Performs soils laboratory testing (Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, swell, moisture, classifications, UCS, proctor tests).
• Performs concrete laboratory testing (strip labels, curing, temp logs, sample breaking).
• Maintains a clean, organized laboratory environment and supports calibration/maintenance of equipment.
• Maintains calibration records and QA/QC documentation.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment.
• Supports additional lab functions and occasional fieldwork as needed.
