Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician with no prior experience required. You will learn under supervision, performing basic tests on soils and concrete samples and assisting with preparation, data entry, and QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.

Obtain lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
Strong communication and basic math skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
Ability to follow directions and work under close supervision.

Responsibilities

Perform basic laboratory tests on construction material samples under supervision.
Assist with sample preparation and testing procedures.
Compile test results, data input, data processing, and QA/QC documentation.
Perform soils laboratory testing such as Atterberg limits, gradation, swell, moisture, and unconfined strength with some supervision.
Perform concrete laboratory testing including sample stripping, curing, temperature logs, and breaking samples.
Maintain a clean, organized lab environment and calibrate equipment as needed.
Notify supervisors of damaged/missing equipment and support additional lab tasks and occasional fieldwork.
