Job summary

CellCarta seeks a Laboratory Technician II to support tissue processing, staining, and sample handling at our Naperville site. You will work with a collaborative team to ensure accurate analyses and timely results.

The role requires a technical degree in laboratory science or related experience, plus at least 3 years of relevant work; on-site hours are Monday to Friday with opportunities for career development and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience with tissue processing and immunohistochemical staining.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks per supervisor orders, including tissue processing, sectioning, IHC staining, and in situ hybridization.
• Ensure samples are correctly handled and stored in designated locations.
• Operate equipment to obtain accurate analyses and maintain meticulous records.
• Provide input on reagent stock status and equipment performance to supervisors.
• Report results, errors, and observations as required.
• Utilize LIMS, DMS, and QMS systems as appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized working environment.

Laboratory Technician II

Responsibilities

• To perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tissue processing, sectioning, (immuno)histochemical staining, in situ hybridization
• Ensures the sample material is correctly handled.
• Stores samples/subsamples in the correct storage location. Operates equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis. Works meticulously and pays attention to detail.
• Gives input of reagent stock status and functioning of equipment to the lab supervisor/manager.
• Reports results, errors and observations as required.
• Uses the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as and when appropriate.
• Ensures the working environment is clean and organized at all

Education

• Technical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.

Main Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience or similar through experience.
• Prior experience in both tissue processing/sectioning and (immuno) histochemical staining required.

Working Conditions

• Working hours:Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
