Belcan Corporation in Monroeville, PA is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician II. You will perform routine laboratory operations in a QA or research setting, prepare samples, and conduct quantitative and qualitative chemical tests under direct supervision.

Job Description

• Under direct supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a quality assurance or research setting.
• Duties consist of preparing samples, making measurements, performing several routine quantitative and qualitative chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures.
• Assists higher level technicians in setup of laboratory equipment and in recording data for experiments and procedures.
• Requires knowledge in using various instruments to prepare for and perform tests.
• Performs routine and safety program checks and preventive maintenance on instruments.
• This is an entry-level position.
• Requires a high school education or equivalent.
• Prior experience is desired with examples of safe practices, chemical handling, and record keeping/reporting.
• Some chemistry courses are desired.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office software is desired.

Experience

• 0-5 years.
