Job summary

Balazs Nanoanalysis in Austin, TX is hiring a Laboratory Technician I to run samples daily with ICP-MS, GC-MS, and wet-lab analyses. You will login and track samples, manage materials, and ensure proper hazardous waste disposal in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 5 years of lab experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar with 3 years OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or similar with 0 years.
• Able to adapt to teamwork environment.
• Good computer skills.
• Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture.
• Holiday and weekend coverage; OT as needed; night shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Run samples daily using ICP-MS, GC-MS, classical wet lab analyses, and particle counters.
• Log in and track samples; handle materials and kits; proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Review data and report results to customers; enter results into data management systems (LIMS).
• Support lab team with labware washing, transport of samples, and lab cleaning.
• Prepare high quality standards for instrument calibration and maintain SOPs.
