Qualifications

  • HS Diploma with 5 years of lab experience, OR Associate degree with 3 years, OR Bachelor degree with 0 years.
  • Able to adapt to a teamwork environment.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Willing to work holidays, weekends and OT; night shift possible.
  • Commitment to safety and proper hazardous waste handling.

Responsibilities

  • Run samples daily using ICP-MS, GC-MS, and particle counters.
  • Log and track samples; manage data in LIMS and data systems.
  • Prepare standards and calibrations; ensure accurate results for customers.
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and organize labware; participate in safety meetings.
  • Collaborate to review data quality and report results to customers.

Balazs Nanoanalysis is a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide Electronics is world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

Air Liquide is hiring a Laboratory Technician I in our Austin, TX or Taylor, TX location. For internal candidates, the specific level and salary range for this position will be commensurate with the successful candidate's current level

Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters. The work is performed in an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment on a safety-oriented team passionate about providing quality data to our customers in a timely manner. In addition to sample analysis duties, this individual will be responsible for performing tasks such as: sample login and tracking, material and kit handling, proper disposal of hazardous waste, reviewing data, and reporting results to the customer.

  • Supporting the lab teamthrough labware washing
  • Transporting samples between labs
  • Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately
  • Filling bottle kits
  • Following SOP's
  • Lab cleaning and organization
  • Sample preparation
  • Sample login and management using LIMS
  • Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay
  • Routine Waste disposal
  • Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration
  • Standardization of titrants
  • Calibration of analytical instruments
  • Commitment to the safe handlingof chemicals
  • Collaborating toput together results, review data quality, and report results to customers
  • Submit quality and safety near misses
  • Stay up to date on all lab trainings
  • Contribute to the continuous improvementof safety and quality
  • Attend all Safety Meetings
  • Analyze and gain insightsfrom analytical data
