Children's Mercy Kansas City is seeking a laborator y support role in the Microbiology Research lab to support CDC and industry-funded grants related to acute respiratory and acute gastrointestinal infections. Starting pay begins at $20.27/hr with on-site work required at CM locations. Vaccination requirements apply; exemptions may be discussed with HR.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; on-the-job training available.
• 1–2 years of related phlebotomy or lab experience or education in phlebotomy preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Specimen management including deidentification, freezer storage and retrieval, aliquoting, labelling and shipping.
• Inventory maintenance including shipment receipt and maintaining inventory for shipments received and supplies on hand.
• Maintains general operations of the Laboratory and performs quality assurance activities as assigned.
• Attend weekly lab and team meetings.
