Job summary

Onterris in Orange, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician I to support sample preparation, daily lab operations, and collaboration with experienced teammates to deliver safe, accurate results.

The role requires an associate or bachelor's in a related field, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and flexibility for a 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:30 pm) with a 10% shift premium. You will monitor samples, perform EPA-based prep, and maintain SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a chemistry, biology, environmental science or related field preferred.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds independently.
• Flexibility for schedule including overtime and weekend.

Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of sample scheduling and ensure analyses meet EPA holding times and client due dates.
• Routine sample preparation and analysis per EPA methods (314.0, 300.0, 7199, 218.6).
• Prepare samples and load on IC instruments.
• Performs data entry.
• Adheres to SOPs and safe work practices.
• Perform inventory.
• Cross trains within/between departments.
• Participate in lab meetings and focus teams.
• Collaborate with other departments; support corrective actions with CARs.
