The role supports Senior staff and aligns with our environmental mission by applying SOPs and safety practices across tasks in a Semi-Volatiles lab. The position requires a high school diploma (science coursework preferred) and the ability to follow procedures, manage time, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; science coursework preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs precisely and work methodically.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices, PPE, and waste handling.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (50 lbs with assistance).

Responsibilities

• Perform all Laboratory Assistant duties, including sample handling and lab upkeep.
• Retrieve, store, and dispose of samples per SOPs, chain of custody, and hold-time requirements.
• Prepare reagents and solutions following approved procedures.
• Perform gravimetric and titrimetric measurements as required.
• Support daily batch preparation to meet turnaround time expectations.
• Maintain inventory and notify senior staff of low supplies.
• Maintain clean, organized, contamination-controlled workspaces.
• Complete temperature logs and routine lab documentation.
• Communicate workflow issues to senior technicians and leadership.
• Comply with QA and Health & Safety Plan.
• All other duties as assigned.
