Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant for our Orange, CA Laboratory. You will prep and handle samples, maintain accurate records, and uphold a clean lab to support on-time results.

The role offers a 2nd shift (Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm) and a compensation range of $20.00–$22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and location. Join a team of professionals dedicated to environmental solutions, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic laboratory techniques including PPE, balance, pipetting, and glassware handling.
• Basic Excel skills required.
• Comfort working with strong acids and solvents.
• Excellent communication skills needed.
• Detail-oriented approach essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform dishwashing and cleaning, change gas cylinders, and housekeeping tasks.
• Sample retrieval, storage, archiving, and proper sample disposal.
• Prepare samples and reagents per SOPs and support tasks as needed.
• Conduct lab analyses and maintain accurate data/records in SOPs.
• Calibrate small lab equipment such as thermometers and balances.
• Maintain safe, organized work area and accurate logbooks/records.
