Staffmark in Westfield, Indiana seeks a Laboratory Technician to support research and production activities in a fast-paced lab. The role offers a $20.00 per hour pay rate and a schedule from 8am to 5pm, with opportunities to contribute to insect colonies, diets, and biolabs operations.

You will maintain clean labs, prepare materials, monitor inventory, and assist with experiments. Strong recordkeeping and teamwork are essential to ensure accurate, reliable results daily.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, entomology, environmental science or related field preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory, research or quality control environment preferred.
• Knowledge of lab safety practices and accurate recordkeeping preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspaces, equipment, glassware, and tools.
• Prepare spaces, materials, and equipment for research and testing activities.
• Monitor inventory and supplies, anticipate needs, and prevent workflow disruptions.
• Assist with experimental setup, data collection, and lab cleanup.
• Prepare insect diets and rearing materials while monitoring colony health.
• Maintain accurate batch, preparation, and quality control records.
