Job summary

Boviteq, based in Madison, WI, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support embryo production and related laboratory processes under the Laboratory Supervisor. This in-person role requires accuracy and compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

The technician will perform maturation, fertilization, culture, freezing, grading, and packaging of bovine embryos for shipment, with emphasis on data entry and equipment maintenance while working both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of microscopes, pipetting and aseptic techniques is an advantage.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Previous agriculture experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Embryo Production process.
  • Maturation, fertilization, and culture of bovine oocytes.
  • Freezing, grading, and packaging of embryos for shipment.
  • Comply with production SOPs, schedules and USDA export regulations.
  • Maintain and monitor materials, equipment and data entry.
  • Record keeping and care maintenance of equipment.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician in Madison, WI to fill a vacancy and join our Team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, plays a key role in supporting Boviteq USA’s advanced reproductive technologies, including IVF, embryo production, and related laboratory processes. This position is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory procedures with a high level of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail. The technician ensures all work is completed in alignment with established protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
