Job summary

Origin Mining Company seeks a Lab Technician at Mineral Park Mine to perform chemical and metallurgical analyses, operating lab equipment in a 24/7/365 environment. This role is a DRA employee working with the OMC team to support lab operations.

You will collect samples, maintain instruments, manage reagents, support plant operators, and ensure environmental and safety compliance while documenting results accurately.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge in math, chemistry, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Awareness of occupational hazards and commitment to safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analysis testing and operate laboratory equipment.
• Collect samples from multiple sites and prepare them for analysis using appropriate techniques.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Order supplies, track reagent consumption, and manage inventory of critical lab parts and chemicals.
• Support plant operators as needed and provide technical assistance to staff and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, including MSHA requirements, and participate in the review and update of laboratory safety procedures.
• Manage laboratory cleanup and routine reagent preparation as directed.
• Identify materials and equipment needed to maintain continuous operation.
• Assist with the analysis of blast hole samples for copper and molybdenum determination.

This role involves handling sensitive laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and effectively managing daily activities to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
