Job summary

Climax Molybdenum seeks a laboratory analyst to perform routine and non-routine chemical and metallurgical analyses, collect samples, and prepare them for testing.

You will maintain instruments, assist with reporting, and support safety practices in a potentially 24/7 operation while following all health and safety rules.

Associates degree preferred; strong math/chemistry skills and good written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of math, chemistry and/or computer skills appropriate to the assignment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine chemical and/or metallurgical analyses at the assigned site.
• May collect samples from rail cars or trucks in some locations.
• Prepare samples for analysis using established tests and techniques.
• Assists with/performs routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.
