Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or education/experience mix.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions.
• Dependability, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently or on a team.
• Ability to safely handle test specimens, tools, and laboratory equipment.
• Fenestration or construction/manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Competency using hand tools and operating forklift/scissor lift after training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with testing of windows, doors, glass, IGUs, glazing systems, and other building products.
• Prepare, handle, assemble, install and seal test specimens into laboratory fixtures.
• Perform routine laboratory testing under supervision of senior technicians.
• Record measurements, observations, and test conditions accurately.
• Assist with setup, operation, and monitoring of equipment and test apparatus.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow quality procedures, safety requirements, and testing protocols.
• Communicate test progress and equipment needs with staff and project teams.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
