Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Laboratory Technician 1 to conduct testing ensuring compliance with quality systems, FDA/ISO requirements, and internal standards.

You will set up equipment, perform analytical tests on materials and finished products, and document results to support technical reports and investigations.

Qualifications

• High School or Trade School certification in chemistry, biology, or related science.
• Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

General Summary

Conducts laboratory testing designed to ensure adherence to established quality system requirements, FDA. MDD, other applicable regulatory/statutory or ISO requirements for new and existing products and materials.

Education

Possess a High School / Trade School certification in the field of chemistry, biology or other science field. A minimum 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting required.

Skills & Abilities

Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have 2+ years of medical device manufacturing experience. Must be detail orientated, bilingual Spanish/English is a plus, but not necessary, and enjoy working with a diverse employee base. Must have experience using Microsoft Excel and Word software. Must be able to perform mathematical functions. Flexibility in work hours required. Must be capable of standing for a full shift (8 to 12 hours), able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds, walk, stoop, kneel, bend over, and grasp objects with both hands on a frequent basis. Visual acuity or corrective vision required for this position including close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
